__________ Prion v0.001 __________
          \______________/

A simple LiteStep theme (absolutely no scripting) by Rich Kulesus, with original wallpaper.

I recommend using this theme at a higher resolution, although it will function at resolutions from 800x600 up to 1600x1200 (maximum X Resolution is 1600px)

_____/ INSTALLATION \_____

Okay, I'm pretty sure this theme is Open Theme Standard (OTS) compatible. Because it uses Layercuts with alpha-transed PNG images, this theme does require Windows2000 or WindowsXP (sorry!). This theme was built and tested using the February 2003 Stable LiteStep build.

1> Unzip contents into your "Litestep\themes\" folder.
2> Open your LiteStep control panel (LSCP) and select "Prion" from the Theme Switcher.
3> Press "Switch Theme" button (duh).

next two steps optional:
4> Play with theme, using suggestions below as guide.
5> Email me if you like it or would like to see something else in it.

USAGE:

_____/ HOTSPOTS \_____
No wacky hotspot action this time (like my last, Singularity). Upper right and left hotspots flip right or left through the VWM's. That's it.

_____/ POPUPS \_____
The ubiquitous popup Main Menu is available from RIGHT-CLICKING the desktop. No frills. Nothing fancy.
SHIFT+LEFT CLICK yields the theme configuration popup, which basicaly duplicates the mini-metallic button functions and adds the ability to turn the hotspots on or off.

_____/ TOP PSEUDOBAR SCHMACKY \_____
=> You're probably noticing the center orb on top if you're looking at the theme. It contains 6 shortcuts for applications you've picked for your OTS-compliant E-vars (right?).	Wedged in the center are your 4 VWMS. Unlike most LiteSteppers, I like to pick my VWM's by LEFT-CLICKING on them, and only rarely move applications by RIGHT-CLICKING and dragging them. If this ain't your style, you can easily change your preference by manually editing the THEMEVARS.RC file in the CONFIG directory of this theme.
=> All the way on the left is a little metal button to pull up LSCP.
=> TASKBAR3.DLL is next from the left, which will dynamically change the shape of your tasks to accomodate more of 'em.
=> Above the center orb are two micro-metallic buttons.
Left Button: "Infect" - places the top-orb above or below your
application windows. Use this to get it out of the way
Right Button: "Metastasize" - Show the bottom bar, if you've hidden it.
=> Your tray items are are the right side of the orb.
=> To the right and left of the orb are also sliders for SYSTEM VOLUME, and WINAMP POSITION.
=> All the way on the right is a micro-metal button for your BITBUCKET.

_____/ BOTTOM (WINAMP/SYSTEM) BAR \_____
=> The typical winamp controls with a JampToo song-title display.
=> Two more micro-metallic buttons:
Left Button: "Sporulate" - Show/Hide the bottom center orb.
This lets you get it out of the way.
Right Button: "Chemotherapy" - makes that cancerous bottom bar go away.
Get it back with one of the top-bar buttons.
=> Center orb shows clock and scrollable shortcuts.
->click on the clock to change the format displayed.
->Double-click it and get the Windoze time dialog.
=> Right side contains LSXCommand.

_____/ KNOWN ISSUES/BUGS/DISCLAIMER \_____
As with any independent theme, you use this at your own risk, and I can in no way be held responsible for damage or other manifestations that may occur on your system. I've done my best to make sure it won't do anything malicious. Here are a few ticks that still need to be ironed out:

1) JampToo can cause the system to hang on recycling.

Hope you enjoy this theme! Please leave me comments!
